Green Beans With Ginger And Cilantro
serves 2-4
Recipe from cookthink
Ginger and cilantro perk up a dish of basic green beans. This dish is best when the beans are as crisp as possible, so get everything ready before starting to cook and you'll be done in no time.
ingredients
1 pound green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-size pieces
1 tablespoon minced ginger
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
timer
prep: 10 minutes
total: 20 minutes
tools
medium pot
colander
medium sauté pan
instructions
1. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Meanwhile, prep the green beans and ginger. When the water boils, add the green beans and cook until bright green and barely tender, 2-4 minutes. Rinse with cold water and drain.
2. Heat the olive oil in a medium sauté pan over medium heat. When it's hot and shimmering, stir in the ginger and cook for 2 minutes. Add the green beans and stir to coat with the ginger and oil. Leave them alone to cook 2 minutes. Stir in the cilantro and take the pan off the heat.
