ingredients

1/2 pound spaghetti
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
salt and pepper
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

timer

prep: 5 minutes
total: 20 minutes

tools

large pot
large sauté pan
tongs

instructions

1. Bring a large pot of water and 2 teaspoons salt to a boil. When the water boils, add the pasta and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

2. Meanwhile, combine the olive oil, garlic and a light sprinkling of salt and pepper in a large sauté pan. Heat the pan over medium-low heat. Sauté the garlic until it smells good and turns a very light brown (but don't let it turn dark brown or it will become bitter).

3. Drain the pasta and add it to the oil and garlic. Toss to combine everything, then stir in the parsley and serve.

This recipe was easy and smelled great! A delicious comfort dish. It doesn't say how much parsley to add - I added about 2/3 cup and will probably add more than that next time.
