Manhattan
makes 1 drink
Recipe from Rob Chirico
How can such simple perfection be so screwed up by so many? A Manhattan must have bitters. It isn't a Manhattan without bitters; it's just whiskey and vermouth, with a cherry to add to the disguise.

I admit to liking a really sweet Manhattan made with a more assertive bourbon--like a 50/50 with Basil Hayden's and a splash of cherry syrup with the bitters. I'm just a fan of the sweet...but it's the bourbon that keeps me coming back to this one.
