Green Beans with Mayo-Soy Sauce

This recipe is from Alanna of A Veggie Venture - it's quick, light, and easy, and as a bonus - low in fat!  It was the winner of Root Source Challenge: Soy Sauce.

ingredients

1 quart water
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 pound fresh green beans, washed well, stem ends snapped, strings removed if seem 'stringy'
1 tablespoon low-fat mayonnaise
splash of soy sauce

timer

prep: 10 minutes
total: 30 minutes

medium pot
mixing bowl

instructions

1. Add the salt to the water and put it on to boil, covered. Add the cleaned beans, cover and cook for 7 minutes or until reach the desired amount of doneness. Drain and return to hot pan.

2. Meanwhile, stir together the mayonnaise and soy sauce. Toss beans with mayonnaise mixture. Serve and enjoy!
