Roasted Asparagus

Roasting asparagus with a toss of olive oil is as simple as it is foolproof, and makes the stalks crispy and tender all at once.
1 bunch asparagus
1 tablespoon olive oil
prep: 5 minutes
total: 20 minutes

1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
2. Trim off and discard the tough ends of the asparagus.
3. Toss the asparagus in a bowl with the olive oil and a sprinkling of kosher or sea salt and pepper.
4. Put them on a baking sheet and cook until tender, turning once or twice, about 15 minutes.
