This Avocado Crostini is a simple, delicious recipe that you’re sure to love, especially if avocado is a favorite of yours. At our house we use them for sandwiches, salads, tacos and wraps. If you have some leftovers, this is a perfect way to use them up.

Equipment
bowl
sharp knife

Shopping List
bread slices
clove garlic
olive oil
avocados
kosher salt
ground pepper

Instructions:
Toast the bread until it reaches your preferred level of crusty but is still a little soft in the center. Remove the outer layer of the garlic clove and rub the clove on one side of the slices. Drizzle with a bit olive oil.

Cut the avocados in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the flesh and slice the halves into thin slices. In a bowl, gently mix the avocado with the vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. Spread some of the avocado mixture onto each piece of bread. Drizzle with more olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Note: To keep your avocados from turning brown once it is sliced open, keep it from being exposed to oxygen. Oxygen is what makes it turn brown. You can keep it from browning by sealing it tightly in plastic wrap, squeezing a small amount of citric acid such as lemon juice or lime juice over the avocado, or by brushing a thin layer of oil over the surface.
