Most people who order it in a bar or make it at home simply call it a Rum and Coke, but this delightful drink has a distinguished history and a stately name to match.

2 ounces light rum
Cold Coca-Cola
Ice
Lime wedge

chilled high-ball glass

instructions

Pour the rum and Coke over ice into a chilled highball glass. Squeeze in the lime wedge.

As a variation, try a Mexicola, which substitutes tequila for rum.
