Chile-Infused Tequila
makes 1 (750ml) bottle
The addition of piquant and herbal flavors heightens the earthy taste of gold or silver tequila. Try this infused tequila as a solo shot or mixed with tonic water.
1 (750 ml) bottle gold tequila
2 dried bird's eye peppers
1 tablespoon black peppercorns
1 bay leaf
prep: 5 minutes
total: 5 minutes, plus 2 weeks to infuse at room temperature

1. Into a large mason jar with a resealable lid, pour the bottle of tequila. Add the chiles, black peppercorns and bay leaf.
2. Seal the jar tightly and place into a dark, room temperture place, such as a closet for 2 weeks. Strain the tequila back into its original bottle.
