Cider Cup

It’s different enough from its brother-in-law, the Blackberry Cup, that to only list the Cider Cup as a variant of said in-law encourages a lack of confidence in this beauty.

Cracked ice
8 ounces brandy
6 ounces Cointreau
4 ounces simple syrup
1 quart apple cider
16 ounces chilled club soda
Apple slices for garnish
Maraschino cherries for garnish

8 goblets
1. Fill a pitcher 3/4 full with cracked ice. Add the brandy, Cointreau and simple syrup. Stir with confidence.
2. Add the apple cider. Stir once. Add the club soda and stir twice.
3. Pour the mixture into 8 goblets, getting some ice into each goblet. Garnish each with an apple slice and a cherry.
