Orange And White Chocolate Chip Cookies

These delicious treats are the cookie version of the creamsicle, made with grated orange peel and luscious white chocolate chips.

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 to 3 teaspoons grated orange peel
1 (12-ounce) package white chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350F. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in egg and orange peel. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
2. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown Allow cookies to cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
