Singapore Sling
makes 1 drink
Many Chinese restaurants serve the usual panoply of garish preludes to hangovers -- like Zombies, Mai Tais and Sufferin’ Bastards. But the granddaddy of all Tiki drinks may be the Singapore Sling.

3 ounces pineapple juice
1 1/2 ounces gin
1/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce Cherry Heering
1/4 ounce Bénédictine
1/4 ounce Cointreau
1 dash Angostura bitters
Ice
Garnish:
Pineapple wedge
Maraschino cherry
prep: 5 minutes
total: 5 minutes
cocktail shaker
strainer
highball glass
toothpick
Add all liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into a highball glass. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry skewered on a toothpick.
