Rebel Yell

The egg white adds some foaminess to the sweet and sour drink and helps bring everything together. We could have used some togetherness in the late 18th century, when the U.S. Congress passed an excise tax on spirits and caused the "Whiskey Rebellion."
2 ounces bourbon
1 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1 egg white
Orange slice
prep: 5 minutes

old-fashioned glass
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and add a scoop of ice cubes. Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice cubes. Vigorously shake the mixture and strain it into the glass. Garnish with the orange slice.
