Meet Zoe, the affineuse at Murray’s Cheese. A few years ago, Murray’s alum Sasha (now of Cheese by Hand) gave us a tour of the caves at the then-new outpost on Bleecker Street (across the street from the old outpost, also on Bleecker). The smell of Cave 2 — with its stores of Hooligan, Red Hawk and other washed-rind cheeses — defies simile.

One day, I’m sure the Internets will transmit smell. Until then, we’ll have to do with Zoe’s odorless tour of the Murray’s caves.
