We got lots of mail and comments about this week’s root source on leeks — from the exclamatory “LEEKS! yay!” to the informative message about French women crash-dieting on leek broth (a technique apparently spelled out in French Women Don’t Get Fat). I love leeks…and there is this recipe I especially love: stir-fried firm tofu with leeks, shrimp, and bean sauce…it’s so good. :)
