Karina's Kitchen
Karina Allrich is a visual artist, writer and creative cook who enjoys developing recipes featuring seasonal ingredients and inspired flavor combinations.
She is the author of two cookbooks - Recipes from a Vegetarian Goddess and Cooking By Moonlight. After learning she had celiac disease (smack dab in the middle of kitchen testing recipes for her second cookbook) Karina turned her formidable focus to gluten-free cooking and launched the popular food blog Karina's Kitchen- Recipes from a gluten-free goddess, recently featured in Newsweek magazine as the go-to on-line source for "...more than 200 creative recipes and cooking tips from an experienced gluten-free chef." Food writer Amy Sherman at Epicurious writes: Karina's Kitchen is "a wonderful recipe blog with beautiful photos to boot."
When she's not creating recipes and playing with her food, Karina publishes the blog A Painter's Kitchen- art, words, life. She shares her bed and studio (and come to think of it, her stove) with husband, Steve Allrich, a screenwriter and alleged painter who exhibits no fear of vegetables, his wife's editing pen, or her favorite plastic spoon (which just so happens to be purple).
