Emily Franklin is a former chef and the author of a many books, including the novels Liner Notes and The Girls' Almanac, as well as the young adult "Principles of Loves" series and the "Chalet Girls" series.

Her most recent book is Too Many Cooks: Kitchen Adventures with 1 Mom, 4 Kids, and 102 Recipes--A Memoir of Tasting, Testing, and Discovery in the Kitchen.

Emily’s work has appeared in The Boston Globe and the Mississippi Review as well as in many anthologies including Don't You Forget About Me: Contemporary Writers on the Films of John Hughes.

She lives with her husband near Boston, where she is a full-time mother to four children.
